The first iteration of this block came to my attention under the name red fish, after a bit of searching I also found some alternate variations under the block name of duck and ducklings. Choose the video from Brenda or the written instructions from Generations quilt patterns. Brenda's is a set size but you can see how it is sewn, the Generations one comes in three sizes 5, 7 1/2 and 10 inches. It is by a lovely lady to whom I subscribe on YouTube Brenda @ Conquering Mount Scrapmore who talks to groups for free and offers several FREE blocks each and every week (which I think are her own designs...) along with some sew alongs in the past. The video description contains all the cutting instructions. She definitely deserves more subscribers than she has!
