This quilt uses the two rail block to make interlocking crosses. Use a jelly roll and one with a pattern to create the design.
This example has just one fabric pattern for each cross but you can also use the same colour scraps to make interlocking crosses as you can see from this very old and blurry photo from my own private quilt collection 🙂
