Ducks and Ducklings

 An advanced block since it uses the cats cradle block as a subunit and so has lots of bias edges.  The sashing between the "ducks" can be rectangles or a variation with squares and the width of the sashing can be the same size as the ducklings or narrower - so many variations.

This is a block which is an uneven nine patch and is a variation on the Monkey Wrench which is ideal if you want a simple block using half square triangles.
